Alcudia is relatively spread out into 3 main sections: The Old Town, The "Centre", and The Port. The Port d' Alcudia (The Port) is two miles (3 km) south of the historical Old Town of Alcudia, from which it takes its name. The sprawling, purpose-built resort, together with its neighbour Playa de Muro, stretches for five miles (eight km) either side of the coast road with which the British, German and Scandinavian families have come to know.

Alcudia has a rather stress-free atmosphere and its spectacular white-sand beaches are the major attraction.
